GEO services for businesses in Israel

Making your business readable to AI engines, present in the indexes they draw on, and mentioned in the places they read.

LEADZ is a marketing and digital agency based in Rishon LeZion, Israel, working with businesses across the country. On Google the business is listed as LEADZ Marketing. This page describes our GEO service. GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: the work of getting a business mentioned in the answers given by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews. You may also see it called AI visibility, AI search optimization or AEO.

One thing to know before you read on: our work, our reports and our free check are in Hebrew, and they are built for websites that serve the Israeli market. If your customers are outside Israel and ask their questions only in English, we are probably not the right fit, and we would rather say so here.

The short answer

GEO means adapting a business's website and its wider web presence so that an AI engine can read it, understand what it offers and to whom, and mention it when someone asks a relevant question. At LEADZ the service covers four things: fixing whatever blocks crawlers, writing pages that answer real customer questions, looking after the business's presence outside its own site, and measuring every month what share of answers mention the business. We do not commit to a place in an answer, because no provider can.

What GEO is, without the buzz

A customer who used to type a couple of words into Google now asks a full question: which locksmith is good in my area, which clinic is recommended, who does this well and for how much. What comes back is a paragraph with a few names in it, not a list of links. The practical question for a business is simple: can your name appear there at all.

To answer, an AI engine that searches the web looks for relevant pages, reads them, and writes an answer from what it read. Some answers also rest on what the model learned earlier, from what has been written about the business across the web. GEO is the work on each of these. There is no magic in it, and no single file or tag that takes care of it.

GEO, AEO and SEO: what is the difference

The three terms describe similar work with a different goal. None of the definitions is official, and some people use AEO and GEO for the same thing. This is how we tell them apart:

  • SEO, classic search engine optimization. The goal is to appear high in the results on Google or Bing. The measure is position and traffic.
  • AEO, short for Answer Engine Optimization. The goal is for the direct answer to a question to be taken from your page, for example in the answer box above the results. The measure is whether the answer shown is yours.
  • GEO, short for Generative Engine Optimization. The goal is for an engine that writes its own answer, such as ChatGPT or Gemini, to mention the business and link to it. The measure is the share of answers that mention you.

Most of the foundation is shared: clear text that exists in the HTML, pages that are in the index, and mentions of the business on other sites. So GEO does not replace SEO. It is a layer on top of it. The practical difference is in measurement: search has a list with positions, and an AI answer does not.

What we actually work on

This field is full of promises, so we work the other way round: first the foundations that can be checked, and only then whatever sounds impressive. In practice that is three things. Your text exists in the HTML and not only after the browser runs code. Your pages are in the index of the search engines that feed these AI engines. And your site holds real answers to the questions a customer asks. Anything beyond that is judged by the evidence behind it, not by how new it sounds. What was tested and moved nothing, and what did, with sources (in Hebrew)

What our GEO service includes

  • An opening review: what an engine sees on your site today, and what the engines answer when asked about your business.
  • Access and indexing: the firewall, the robots.txt file, the sitemap, and registration in Google's and Bing's webmaster tools.
  • Readability: the text of every important page arrives in the HTML, not only after browser code runs.
  • Answer pages: a page for each service and each question a customer asks before buying, with visible questions and answers.
  • Business identity: who you are, where you are and how to reach you, in the same words as on your Google business profile.
  • Presence outside the site: the business profile, your presence on Bing, and mentions on sites the engines read.
  • Monthly measurement and reporting: the same questions every month, and what changed since the last measurement.

How we work, step by step

  1. We fetch the site the way a crawler does, without running browser code, and see what is left of it.
  2. We check access and indexing: what the firewall returns to crawlers, what the robots.txt file says, and which pages are in the index.
  3. We fix what blocks: text readability, the sitemap, a canonical address for every page, and valid markup.
  4. We write answer pages: the questions a customer asks before buying, in the customer's own words, with an answer that can be quoted.
  5. We measure in repeated rounds and report the share of mentions with a margin of error. Not a position, because there is no position here.

How we measure GEO

There are two different measurements. The first looks at the site: how well it is built for an engine to read and quote. The second looks at the answers: whether the business is actually mentioned when someone asks a real question. You can do well on the first and score nothing on the second, so we measure both.

  1. We start with the free check. It fetches the site the way a crawler does and returns an estimate of what an engine can read there. It costs nothing.
  2. Together we build a fixed list of questions that a real customer asks about your field and your business. The list does not change from month to month.
  3. Once a month we ask the engines the same questions, on the same model, and keep the full answers.
  4. We report a share: in how many answers the business was mentioned, and in how many your site was linked as a source. Alongside it: who was mentioned instead of you, and what changed on the site since the last measurement.

We do not report a place or a ranking, because an AI answer has none: the same question returns a different answer on the next run. What can be measured honestly is the share of answers over time, so that is the number you get, including in a month when it does not move. The free check: what an AI engine sees on your site (in Hebrew)

When GEO is not right for you

Sometimes we will tell you not to start, or to start with something else:

  • Your customers do not look for you online. A business that lives on word of mouth and returning customers will gain very little.
  • There is no website, or nobody who can change anything on it. Without a way to make changes, even an accurate report stays on paper.
  • The foundation is not there yet. If your pages are not in Google's and Bing's index, start there. GEO sits on top of SEO and does not replace it.
  • You need a fast, measurable result within weeks. A paid campaign fits that better. Visibility in answers is built from content and reputation, over time.
  • You are looking for a commitment to a place in an answer or to a number of mentions. We will not give one.
  • Your audience is abroad and asks in English. Our work and our check are built for Hebrew and for the Israeli market.

What GEO costs, and how to start

We send each client a quote tailored to the needs of their business. The scope depends on the starting point: whether the site's text reaches crawlers today, how many service and answer pages need to be written, who writes the content, and who maintains the business profile. It starts with a short conversation, and after it we send a proposal that says what we will do, in what order, and what we will measure.

Questions

What people ask us about this service.

What is the difference between this service and your free check?

The free check fetches your site the way a crawler does, without running the code that runs in a browser, and returns an estimate only of what is left of it: how much of the text is readable, whether there is a main heading, whether there is a sitemap. It is a one-minute snapshot, and it does not test what an engine actually answers when someone asks about you. The service starts after that: actually fixing what blocks, writing new answer pages, and measuring in repeated rounds that report a share of mentions with a margin of error rather than a single score. The check and its report are in Hebrew.

I already work with an SEO agency. Is this not the same thing?

Part of the foundation is shared, and that is an advantage: pages that are in the index and clear text serve both search and an engine's answer. The difference is in what is measured and what is written. SEO aims at a list of results with positions. Here there is no list and no position, only a paragraph that mentions a few names, so the work centers on answer pages that can be quoted and on mentions of the business elsewhere. We are glad to work alongside whoever already handles your SEO and split the work with them instead of doing it twice.

Do you need access to my website to do this?

Not for the first stage. We do the check and the mapping from the outside, exactly as a crawler does, and most of the recommendations can be written without logging in to any system. The fixing stage does need access, and it can take several forms: access to the content management system, working with your developer, or an organized file that you pass to whoever maintains the site. If nobody touches your site today, we will say so up front as part of the proposal, because without a way to make changes even the most accurate report stays on paper.

GEO, AEO, AI SEO, AI visibility: are these different services?

Mostly they differ in name. The field is new and nobody has set official terms for it, so each provider picked a name. GEO is short for Generative Engine Optimization, and AEO is short for Answer Engine Optimization. Some people separate them: AEO as work on one direct answer, GEO as work on being mentioned inside an answer the engine writes itself. In practice the work is almost the same: text that reaches crawlers, pages that answer questions, and a presence for the business outside its own site. When you compare providers, do not compare names. Ask what exactly is done and what exactly is measured.

Which engines do you cover: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Google as well?

All of them, because most of the work is shared. Each of these engines, and Google's AI Overviews too, needs three things: to reach the site, to read the text intact, and to find an answer in it that can be quoted. Where they differ is in where they look. Each engine leans on a different search index, so a site that is well registered only on Google can be missing from another engine. That is why we check indexing on both Google and Bing and do not assume that what holds for one engine holds for all. In the monthly measurement we tell you in advance which engines and which model the questions are asked on.

Someone offered to register my business with ChatGPT for a fee. Is that a real thing?

We did not find such a thing. We checked in September 2026 and found no official channel from OpenAI that lets a business register, claim a profile or pay for a place in answers. What does exist is registration in the places the engines lean on: your Google business profile, Google's and Bing's webmaster tools, and a site whose text is accessible to crawlers. We do those as part of the service. Anyone offering direct registration with ChatGPT is selling something we could not find a basis for, and it is worth asking them to show you exactly where the registration appears.

Do you work in English, or with businesses outside Israel?

Our work is in Hebrew and for the Israeli market. The questions we measure are Hebrew questions that Israeli customers ask, the answer pages we write are in Hebrew, and the free check and its report are in Hebrew too. This page is in English so that people who search in English can find out who we are and what we do. If you are an Israeli business that also sells abroad, the Hebrew side is where we can help. For markets outside Israel you will be better served by an agency that works in your customers' language and market.

What is the difference between a mention and a citation?

A mention is when the name of the business appears in the text of the answer, for example in a list of recommended providers. A citation is when your website appears among the sources the engine links to, even if the name is not written in the answer itself. They are two different things, and you can get one without the other: an engine can recommend a business without linking to its site, and it can lean on one of your pages as a source without mentioning you by name. In the monthly measurement we count the two separately, because they are not the same figure, and an improvement in one does not mean the other will improve too.
